Juiced 1!
(Tammy's bike)

We wanted to build two drag bikes so we could race each
other. The Conversion Kit for this bike was ordered at
Electric Vehicles USA. (no longer in business)

Tammy found this 1989 EX 500 for only $200!

We lowered it and she now has a bike she can feel safe riding.

All of the "gas" parts stripped off!

Tammy's hard work removing baked on decals!

The upper battery mount.

Each bike is made differently, so design challenges
are unique for each build. Since her bike had a slimmer
frame, it was easier to put the controller behind the batteries.

The rear gear is the only shiny thing on the bike!

Finally, it runs!

Some more testing.

A smile from the new owner?

The required disclaimer: This information is about what we learned on our project and is not intended to do anything but show you how we did ours. LEARN all you can before starting any project with this much voltage.  A 9 volt battery, applied correctly, can kill you. Think about what 6 - 12 volt car batteries can do if not wired correctly .
